ALIen Warr!

ARTICLE BY DELVIN ARNELL

Like many of our nights the SALT crew found this talent while roaming our beloved city. For the past few nights Blair had been dying to get a slice of his all time favorite---anchovie pizza. Even though we made it down to Atlanta's Lil 5 Points district, Blair was gonna have to hold off that anchovie pizza for one more night. Across the street at the Star Community Bar there was a crowd wrapped around the building! Seeing all the skirt and heel-wearing potential, it didn't take much work for me to convince the guys that we should give the place a look.  After making it inside we instantly discovered
what all the fuss was about...

Ripped t-shirt and an afro bulging from under his favorite trucker hat, ALIen Warr pleased the crowd while he abused his drums. From  Wiz's Black and Yellow to Drake's Best I Ever Had, ALIen Warr had a beat for everything the DJ played. Hours later and a few beers in...lets just say the SALT crew had a great night. Stumbling into Brave, a friend of both ALIen and his manager Ian Ford, we were able to exchange contacts in hopes to set up an interview with ALIen.

A day later the phone calls were made, the e-mails were sent and #teamSALT was scheduled  for another ALIen Warr performance followed by and interview. Knowing the venue is 21 and up we were pressed for solutions on how Blair was gonna get by security. One of our friends offered his older brother's ID and although they looked nothing alike it was the only option we had at the moment. We get to the club and let's just say .... the ID didnt work. Fortunately, the guest list we were on wasn't at the front so although I passed security I couldn't go in either. Called Ian and with a phone call to his staff someone finally came to the door to rescue us. She tapped the owner on the shoulder and said, "They're good they're doin' an article on the performer." ..... and just like that, in the club we went.
